Health & Safety
Introduction
With safety being paramount, B&A Scaffolding Ltd takes Health and Safety training very seriously. Regular toolbox talks ensure that operatives receive a full knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety and good working practice within the scaffolding industry.
All trade is undertaken in accordance with CDM and HSE Regulations. All scaffolds are erected to BS EN 12811/TG 20.08 regulations.

Training
All employees at B&A Scaffolding Ltd are trained with the CITB at Bircham Newton from Apprentice up to Advanced Scaffolder level, all hold current CISRS cards and have been trained in the Health & Safety Touch Screen Test. A number of our operatives have also completed training in Confined Spaces and IPAF. Our Estimator and Contracts Supervisor both hold a NEBOSH General Certificate.

Insurance
B&A Scaffolding have arranged Public & Products Liability, Employers' Liability and Contractors All Risk Insurance with the company Bluefin Insurance Services Ltd for the periods, April 2011 to April 2012
Standards
B&A Scaffolding currently work in accordance with CDM and HSE Regulations. All scaffolds are erected to BS EN 12811/TG 20.08 regulations, with supporting technical guidence provided by the NASC.
Environmental Policy
B&A Scaffolding Limited recognises that its activities can have effect on the environment and as such will endeavour to prevent pollution and will strive to continually improve on its environment performance targets and comply with where applicable, the Considerable Contractor’s Scheme.
The Company will ensure compliance with all current environmental legislation and regulations.
Take all reasonable precautions to avoid environmental damage, disruption or nuisance on or adjoining the sites.
Endeavour to keep its work areas clean and tidy and avoid pollution of the air by noise, the dismantling and erecting of scaffolding materials.
Conserve the use of materials and of energy and where viable collect waste materials for re-cycling.
Develop employee awareness of environmental issues.
